Welcome students and families! Archery & More is a subdivision of Sheroes Entertainment and is delighted to help you and your loved ones to learn the sport of archery as part of your home school journey!

LESSONS & CLASSES AVAILABLE FOR:

  • Ages 5+

  • Students who can listen, focus, control themselves, and pay attention to directions - zero tolerance is held for kids who "wander off" or ignore direction as weapons are involved.

​

WHEN ARE LESSONS AVAILABLE?

  • Daytimes between 11AM-6PM Monday through Friday until November.

  • Evenings after 5PM November onward, Monday through Friday. We have lighting to be able to see at night.

  • Weekends are not available.

WHAT IS TAUGHT?

The fundamentals of recurve archery according to US Archery and World Archery standards. Intermediate students can learn to use compound bows. Students are taught how to choose and assemble equipment, how to inspect equipment for safety, how to set up a range, the fundamental steps of shooting, scoring, and building upon their skills to become better. Games are frequently included for students to keep things fresh and fun!

WHAT IS PROVIDED?

All bows and related archery equipment during the lesson(s).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Close toed shoes or sneakers, close fitting clothing that will not catch in bowstrings, please have long hair tied back, and wear a belt. It's recommended to bring drinking water and sunscreen (if applicable). If you are visiting during the early Fall please wear bug spray too.

PARENTAL SUPERVISION:

"Drop off" is not allowed, you are expected to stay with your student at all times... as in visual sight line of them, not in the car. We have great WiFi on site so bring your coffee and tablet and make yourself comfortable! Any small siblings must remain with you and cannot wander off on the property.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

  • $85 / 45 minutes for a private lesson for your student

  • $35 / 45 minutes for a group lesson for your student with siblings or other students. Minimum 3 students needed to qualify for a group rate.

HOW MANY LESSONS ARE RECOMMENDED?

  • 4 for basic level competency under supervision

  • 12 for independent level competency (e.g. the basic level at which a student knows what they are doing, why, and can self correct should they get their own equipment).

WHERE ARE LESSONS HELD?

The Western side of Simi Valley on private property, address provided upon booking. There is a small covered and lighted practice space and a larger, lighted, open dirt practice space with freestanding targets.

​

WHO TEACHES?

Miss. Virginia typically teaches Blue Ridge students. She has taught tens of thousands of kids, started the Girl Scout archery patch program, and is known for providing positive feedback in incremental steps which boosts confidence in students while keeping expectations "real."

HOW TO SCHEDULE:

  1. Contact us at info@sheroesentertainment.com with the subject line "Blue Ridge Archery Lesson Inquiry." Include your name, your student's name, your cell number, and the days / general times you are interested in learning during.

  2. We'll call you to go over questions and to coordinate the calendar schedule.

  3. Once a time / date series is chosen we can generate and invoice for you to send to Blue Ridge. You'll need to fill out their request form to have them generate a Purchase Order Number (PO#).

  4. We need to have the Blue Ridge office put a Purchase Order Number in place for you before we can have you visit. Once it is in place we'll handle invoicing them for your lessons.
