Master the basics of shooting archery today. Start here if you are a new student! This intro lesson is required before proceeding to other regular lessons. After tens of thousands of students we have teaching down to a science. This 1 hour long lesson teaches everything that you need to know to choose and assemble recurve archery equipment, what to expect when visiting an archery range, range etiquette and common rules, and how to shoot using USA Archery Standard shooting form - the same form that you see at the Olympics! All sections are hands-on where you learn the core skills you'll need to be a self reliant archer. BOW TYPES: Wooden recurve bows are used in our intro lessons unless a universal draw weight compound bow is requested. All lesson rental equipment is provided. WHAT TO WEAR / BRING: Close toed shoes such as sneakers, dress in layers, wear sunblock, bring drinking water. Expect to be sitting on the ground during the equipment building portion of this class. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: Limit 4. All 4 people can shoot under the same flat rate for your time. If you would like extra people to attend then they can be added on (up to 8 total people attending) at $20 / person. AGES: We welcome ages 3+ with parental supervision. NO DROP-OFFS. Any students must be able to follow directions and focus their attention for the full hour of time. If you wish to sign your child up please note that they have to be emotionally mature enough to be able to focus for the full hour. LOCATION: We primarily coach at an 18m max distance, private, lighted, range in Simi Valley, California. A covered shooting space is available in case of rain. PRIVACY: All lessons are private for you or your group. We do not "merge" you with any other lessons or students unless you request to do so. USA ARCHERY MEMBERSHIP: A recreational level or above membership is required on all participants after the first lesson for insurance purposes. The cost is typically only $15 per year per person. Cancellation Policy

All services and products are non-refundable. Cancellations are not valid, but one reschedule per lesson date / time is accepted. Any no-shows to lessons will not be refunded.
